Early start and our intrepid travelers venture forth.
We settle into a routine of:walk for 30 minutes, experience rain, stop for 1 hour to put on gortex jacket, plastic trousers, gaiters and pack cover; rain stops ten minutes later-we start to sweat profusely ;stop for 1 hour to repeat reverse of above.
Anyway the scenery was stunning

and we finally arrived at our B&B run by Ma and Pa Kettle. As there was nowhere else to eat we ate at the B&B-one of the worst meals of our lives-some sort of meat served with veggies boiled within an inch of their lives. If they don't raise their game they will lose their 3rd Michelin star.
