"At the top of the steps cross the road and continue up the steps for another 25 kilometres"
Old Amalfusian proverb.
Today's walk was described as "tough", hell of an understatement. Immediate stairs up out of Amalfi, then more stairs, then more stairs and surprisingly more stairs. The Eskimos have 73 words to describe snow while the Amalfatians have 91 words for stairs:steep stairs, very steep stairs, extremely steep stairs, uneven stairs, endless stairs, hip destroying stairs, knee crushing stairs, treacherous stairs and so the list goes on.
Anyway as usual the views were magnificent.
Old Amalfusian proverb.

We arrive in Praiano, a hot sweaty mess and it is straight into the swimming pool where we leave a scum of sunscreen and convert the fresh water into a hypertonic saline solution
Dinner was fine until they served the fish with scales intact.
